I couldn't resist the lure of a high quality sony device and purchased my own psp two days ago. One of the first things i checked before buying the unit was that the firmware had not been updated and was still at 1.5 because i heard i could run game emulators on this firmware. I then just found a link to the gadgeteer's for the sony psp. I am going to download some of them and install the various roms that i have collected over the years of gameplay.

Do you run emulators on your psp and what do you recommend? I think it's great that my psp runs homebrew's, i actually play it now, instead of letting it collect dust. There are emu's for the snes, gen and even the gba but run slow to the point of unplayablefor now. I recommend the nes emu because it not only runs perfect, it'll take the least amount of space on your memory card. Good times for all!

It's just like if all psp games could be played on a nintendo ds and they looked just as good.

I think homebrew apps on the psp could boost sales, wich is something sony realy needs right now. I think the idea that sony would be liable for copyright infringment because of emu's is nuts. It wasn't sony's intent for that to happen, and tell me a game system released in the last 4 years that doesn't play emu's? I think it's great that my psp runs homebrew's, i actually play it now, instead of letting it collect dust.
